The learning experiences and materials we use are planned to provide developmentally appropriate cognitive, motor and relational skills that help children develop a Christian awareness of themselves, others and the world around them. Music, computer, physical education, and other enrichment experiences are provided. A member of the church staff or MDS staff provides a weekly chapel time.
Classes meet from 8:20 am until 11:30 am. The Early Bird Program is available beginning at 7:30 am. We also offer a Lunch Bunch Program through 1:00 pm and Extended Day Program through 5:30 pm
Classes are conducted in our Children’s Ministry Center of the First United Methodist Church. The school office (located upstairs) and classrooms may be reached by using the front entrance on 206 W. Power Avenue. All visitors to the building must present a valid photo identification to enter the building.
Scholarship (Tuition Assistance)
The Methodist Day School Scholarship Program is funded by a scholarship fund and First United Methodist Church members. Tuition assistance is based on financial need and is granted for one school year. A new application for assistance is required for each school year. In order to be considered for a scholarship for the entire 2021-2022 school year, application and supporting documents must be submitted by March 25, 2021. Applications for temporary tuition assistance will be accepted throughout the year, and additional scholarships may be awarded as funds are available.
