Obviously, the situation with COVID-19 is something that we are evaluating day by day. As of yesterday, Victoria County Public Health Department is reporting 238 active cases. That is up from 12 active cases since June 1st. Fifty four new cases yesterday, and increased restrictions have been enacted by our local and state governments. As a result, we are discouraging people from coming to worship this Sunday. We will be live streaming the services on Facebook. IF you come to worship, you will be allowed in, but must wear a mask AT ALL TIMES while in the building. We are also strongly discouraging Sunday School classes from meeting this week. In order to limit the number of people on the church campus, classrooms will not be available. I know we originally anticipated the re-launch of Sunday School this Sunday, and I realize how disappointing this is. Please be in contact with each other to determine the best way for each class to meet. We are not “banning” Sunday School, but are confident that each class will take appropriate measures to remain safe, including considering suspending in-person meeting this week.Additionally, Kathy Valdez tested positive for COVID on Tuesday, and was in IGNITE worship on June 14th. There are also some staff members that have had limited exposure to others that have tested positive. Further, some staff members have been tested because of “allergy” type symptoms. Results from those tests have not come back, yet. Please keep Kathy and the entire community in your prayers.

Blessings,Pastor Wade
