The history of our "Church Cat"
"In July, 1951, The Victoria Advocate reported that membership at First Methodist Church had tripled in the past seventeen years. Numbering 300 in 1934, it climbed to 560 in 1941 - then to 950 in 1951. The clipping from the Advocate also reported a new addition to the church - a gray and white cat who attended services each Sunday morning, arriving during the organ prelude and seating herself in the aisle, from which she was removed bodily by the ushers. The reporter suggested that the cat's religious zeal may have been considerably dampened by the treatment she received every Sunday."

CC was an indoor-outdoor cat. She would greet Margie every morning. One morning after many years she was not there. It did not seem right to not have a church cat ---- so along came "DD" to follow CC and keep up the hard work of greeting people.
This is the"jungle look".
This is the "I am a sweetie look".
But one day, when DD was entertaining in the VIP office, she suddenly died. Soooooo after a while, our new friendly greeter came to carry on the church cat tradition.
